As these hot, hazy days continue, and I am inside working, I can't help but think back to the languorous days on the beach this past summer. The sea is mesmerizing, powerful and engaging in a way that never gets old- but I am never there without my sketchbook. Models everywhere! And that, too, never gets old. Body language, gesture and character galore. These are just but a few from years of beach days and people from many beaches.
I love how the lines in all your drawing have such wonderful rhythm. I can feel the essence of the beach from your drawings. I am going to show it to Luca Kam
Ang and Stephen, Isn't it great that we have so much drawing to talk about?! Thanks so much for your regular support- I'm off to your drawing now....that perspective thing you do so effortlessly is always awe-inspiring.
These are great, so much energy. By the way I've changed my domain name to http://chadwallaceart.blogspot.com/ It's easier to explain to people and for search engines to find. Looking forward to more of your posts.
Zina, What a great surprise to get your message. Thanks so much for your comments- It especially means a lot coming from someone who is so fearless and clearly gets such pleasure, as I do, getting out and in front of all kinds of people and places and recording them!

Kam, thanks so much for your wonderful post.
I'd love to see Luca's drawings, too!
There are so many great characters in these sketches, they're so much fun to look at. Very inspiring stuff!
I agree with my misses. I have to push my work in this direction, you make me want to work harder.
